About Our Company

DI. Paul Schoepf has been working as a „maritime architect“ since 1985. The standard materials for swimming structures used in marinas and bankside structures were concrete and steel – both heavier than water and prone to problems like corrosion, deterioration of lifting bodies, lack of stability in heavier weather conditions, etc. In the early 2009s, as he was asked to develop floating structures in the United Arab Emirates, Paul came up with the idea to use the only natural material as the basis for swimming elements that had been known to mankind just from The Beginning: wood. The challenge would therefore be to develop a swimming body resistant to deterioration caused by humidity, inert as regards algae and mussels, and steam-proof to stop micro molecules from diffusing into the swimming body.

Developing this idea and finding industrial partners for production was the logical way: wood construction experts were found in Austria, and the German chemical industry was won as a partner to develop a steam-proof universal coating, which also would resist algae and mussel population. First prototypes were built, and the Austrian Research Fund granted a subsidy for developing the floating body.

After 2010, Paul had to pause due to health reasons, and only in 2013 it was possible to relaunch the project. Paul is now recovered and fully committed to creating new ideas that can be widely applied to many floating projects. In 2023, Paul started a joint journey with ECOONE EUROPE, creating a fully functional design office for small and large projects, which is now becoming a reality in many countries around the world.

Maritim Vision

Our vision is to establish our wooden floating platforms as the basis for bankside dwellings to serve tourism, expand living space, and create energetically autonomous “islands”. As all components are of natural origin, there is a very small ecological footprint in production as well as in use and waste management.
